How to fix CUccPlatform: msnmsgr.exe – Application Error

Once in a while, when I shutdown my Windows 8 computer, I would get an error message that says:

CUccPlatform: msnmsgr.exe – Application Error

The instruction at 0x1000a548 referenced memory at 0x1000a548.  The memory could not be written.

Click on OK to terminate the program

Here is what I did to fix the problem:

1) From the Start screen, type “uninstall”.

Windows 8 will begin searching for programs related to uninstalling software

4) A window called Programs and Features will pop-up on the desktop.  Double left-click on Windows Essentials 2012.

7) Once it is finished.  The problem should go away.  That is all there is to it.  I hope it works for you.
